Thessaloniki International Film Festival 2016

Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF), is one of the most iconic International Film festivals of its field, that focuses on independent cinema and emerging filmmakers from around the world. The annual event, attracts an audience of more than 90.000 hundreds of Greek and foreign guests, including major figures of the international film scene, such as Jim Jarmousch, Catherine Deneuve, Hervei Keitel, John Malkovich, Anna Muglalis, Wim Wenders, Isabelle Huppert, Willem Dafoe, Pedro Almodóvar, Abbas Kiarostami and many more. TIFF’s programming features international competition sections, tributes to major filmmakers and national cinemas, as well as sidebar events such as masterclasses, exhibitions, live concerts and workshops. In 2016, we were honoured to art direct and design the visual identity of the 57th Festival. Our approach resembles the frame motion of film as a repetitive pattern, showing a static but motion-like visual language. The scope of work included multiple deliverables across all media types including posters, city and on-location signage, print collateral, merchandise, as well as publications and editorial design.

Descoverartists (DA) is a unique and all-inclusive interdisciplinary platform for the arts. DA focus on the needs of the artists and provide them with tailored support through services of management, branding, promotion and more. DA rejects the traditional titles such as fashion designer, musicians, photographers or painters as we believe these boundaries should be seen as fluid; on a spectrum between visual and sound, and anywhere in-between, to give artists the freedom to experiment, change and choose the mediums that inspire them the most. By bringing artists together and giving them all the necessary tools, Descover Artists aim to help artists grow their reach and unite forces in order to combine their professional values and build powerful careers and stories around the art and creative industries. The centre of DA model lies in collaboration. DA manifest believe that in order to disrupt the stale and outdated industry we see today, it is the collective power of artists that will lead the way to a system more focused on the artists and their art.
